چکیده
We demonstrate spectroscopic imaging using a compact ultra-broadband terahertz semiconductor source with high-power, mid-infrared quantum cascade laser. The electrically pumped monolithic is based on intra-cavity difference-frequency generation and can be designed to achieve an multi-mode emission spectrum extending from 1–4 THz without any external optical setup. Spectroscopic was performed three frequency bands, 2.0 THz, 2.5 3.0 as result, this technique clearly identified different tablet components (polyethylene, D-histidine DL-histidine). This method may highly suitable for quality monitoring of pharmaceutical materials.

متن کاملReal-time broadband terahertz spectroscopic imaging by using a high-sensitivity terahertz camera
Terahertz (THz) imaging has a strong potential for applications because many molecules have fingerprint spectra in this frequency region. Spectroscopic imaging in the THz region is a promising technique to fully exploit this characteristic. However, the performance of conventional techniques is restricted by the requirement of multidimensional scanning, which implies an image data acquisition t...
متن کاملA Study on Narrow-band THz (Terahertz) Source with Adjustable Center Frequency Based on Optical Rectification
The center frequency of the narrow-band THz wave is always unstable with the optical rectification methods. Therefore, the high-phase stable time-delay generator Etalon and the parallel grating pair compressor with the self-adaptive optical path compensation function are designed according to the principle that two lasers in different paths will result in specific relative time delay; with LiNb...
